About Us
Since 2003, ToxPlanet has served the decision-support needs of chemical safety professionals around the globe. Our products have saved organizations an extraordinary amount of time while helping them manage the impact of chemicals on people, the workplace, and the environment.
GHSClassify is designed to save time by automating the GHS Classification process for chemical compounds and mixtures. Do in minutes what can normally take hours!
Our affordable rules-based system reduces costs, improves accuracy, and increases productivity. GHSClassify is web-based and quick to deploy, producing reliable and reproducible classifications for chemical compounds and mixtures using H Codes, end points, OR both.
GHSClassify integrates classifications from authoritative sources (e.g. ECHA and Safe Work Australia) and provides links to other decision support resources.

Product
GHSClassify automates the classification process using proprietary algorithms to classify chemical compounds and mixtures. Our easy-to-use product allows you to:
- Create your own libraries of chemical compounds and mixtures
- Import GHS Classifications from authoritative sources for over 60,000 chemical compounds including:
- ECHA C&L Inventory Harmonized Classifications
- Safe Work Australia Classifications from the Hazardous Chemical Information System (HCIS)
- Korea GHS (Hazardous Chemical Classification and Labeling Information)
- Malaysia GHS Classifications
- Danish EPA Advisory Classifications
- Generate classifications using H codes, endpoints, OR both
- Change formulations and generate new classifications in minutes
- Perform “what if” scenarios
- Print, save, or export classifications
GHSClassify uses guidance provided in the European Union and Unites States regulations to determine the classification for a mixture based on known classifications for the substances within the mixture. EU Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (Classification, Labelling and Packaging – CLP), and the US OSHA HazCom 2012 regulations, both of which are based on the United Nations Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for hazard communication, provide general rules for determining the classification of a mixture.

Benefits
Cost Reduction
Software automation is an intelligent approach to reducing costs in functional areas like EH&S and Product Stewardship. Converting a manual or semi-automated process to an automated process reduces costs while still allowing you to complete mission-critical tasks.
Accuracy
Our algorithms, vetted by an experienced Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT), produce accurate classifications for both the U.S. and the E.U.
Productivity
Productivity is an obvious benefit of automation. With GHSClassify you can generate new or updated classifications in minutes, not hours. Explore “what-if” scenarios to test new mixtures with just a few clicks of your mouse.
Reproducibility
Rules-based applications generate reproducible results time after time. You can operate comfortable in the knowledge that your classifications are being generated using the same rules every time.
Reliability
GHSClassify is hosted on the cloud using Amazon Web Services (AWS). With AWS, we take advantage of a scalable, reliable, and secure global computing infrastructure.
Web-based
Work from anywhere. No special hardware, installation, or deployment required. Simply access GHSClassify using any device with a web browser, and our automatic updates ensure you will always use the latest version.
